With the release of Suicide Squad right around the corner now, all eyes are focused firmly on the upcoming DC Comics adaptation. In fact, at this point, it might just be one of the most anticipated films of the year, and for good reason. From being a villain-centric flick (which is something we haven’t really seen yet with comic book movies) to Jared Leto’s haunting new take on the Joker, there’s a lot to be intrigued about here.
Now, with the marketing push just about done, we’ve got two new-ish images to share with you as well as yet another TV spot.
The photos, which can be seen above, might look familiar. The first is a variation on a shot that we’ve already seen of the Joker and Harley, though it appears that the characters are getting a bit closer in this image. The second photo is also not entirely new, as a low-res version surfaced online a while back. Here though, we get to see the Clown Prince of Crime in glorious HD.
As for the TV spot, seen above, it too is more or less recycled, with perhaps only a sliver of never before seen footage thrown in for good measure. You can see for yourself whether or not you can catch anything new, but at this point, it seems like the studio has shown us everything they can from the film and we’ll just need to wait a few more days to feast our eyes on fresh footage.
Starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje Viola Davis and Ben Affleck (plus another member of the Justice League), Suicide Squad is set to be released on August 5th, 2016.
