We’ve already seen images of Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot and Henry Cavill as the new cinematic versions of Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman, and now Zack Snyder has revealed his vision of yet another Justice League member: Aquaman. Jason Momoa will play the Atlantean king in the burgeoning DC cinematic universe, and suits up for the first time in this new photo released by Snyder late Thursday night:

As if Momoa’s casting wasn’t enough, this new photo is just further proof that the look of the iconic hero will deviate quite a bit from the source material. The actor looks very much like his Game of Thrones character Khal Drogo here, and is quite a bit more intimidating than the orange and green clad blonde that we’re used to seeing in the comics.

The “Unite the Seven” text is an interesting addition as well, and raises quite a few questions. It’s possible that the “Seven” refers to none other than the seven seas, or it could be a call of action to unite the seven members of the Justice League. We’ll just have to wait until Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25th, 2016 to find out.

For now, however, tell us, what do you think of this new image of Momoa as Aquaman. Is this how you envisioned him in the role?
