Jason Momoa recently appeared at the Comic-Con Experience in Sao Paulo, Brazil and opened up a bit about his upcoming role as Aquaman in the burgeoning DC Cinematic Universe. Now that the actor has been officially confirmed for the part, he’s stopped playing coy about his excitement and has dropped a few hints about what we can expect from his portrayal of the Atlantean hero.
When the Game of Thrones and Conan the Barbarian star was first rumored for the role, it became abundantly clear that Zack Snyder would be bringing a meaner, tougher, and warrior-esque version of the character to the big screen. The director has already promised that Aquaman will be a badass, and now Momoa – a physically imposing, tattooed Polynesian – has repeated that sentiment:
"Aquaman will be a bad-ass, otherwise, they wouldn't cast me for the role." – Jason Momoa #CCPX

Momoa also stated that he currently has a four-picture deal to play Aquaman, which presumably consists of a Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice cameo (though he still won’t confirm that that’s happening), the two Justice League films, and the Aquaman solo film in 2018. And speaking of the solo outings, Momoa already has a director in mind for his character’s standalone flick: Zack Snyder.
