Jason Momoa Shows Off Aquaman’s Shredding Skills In New Justice League Set Image

Hot on the heels of that uber-metal new logo unleashed yesterday, Justice League director Zack Snyder continues to show off the headbangin' side of his DC film. Word from The Flash actor Ezra Miller already suggested that the Batman v Superman follow-up wouldn't be hindered by the lacklustre response to Suicide Squad; but no-one was expecting a swerve into Metallica territory. Hot on the heels of that uber-metal new logo unleashed yesterday, Justice League director Zack Snyder continues to show off the headbangin’ side of his DC film. Word from The Flash actor Ezra Miller already suggested that the Batman V Superman follow-up wouldn’t be hindered by the lacklustre response to Suicide Squad; but no-one was expecting a swerve into Metallica territory.

Take a peek at this new snap of Jason Momoa below:

Decked out in his full Aquaman garb, long hair to the point of dreads, it’s one of the best glimpses at the Atlantean’s armor so far. As fun as it is to see the actor wielding a Gibson, do we really think Snyder’s going to let him shred his way through Justice League?

Whether we see his musical ax onscreen, Momoa is one of the most anticipated elements of the upcoming film. He was a definite highlight of the Comic-Con trailer, his Arthur Curry character at odds with the Dark Knight during their first meeting providing several chucklesome moments.

Joining Momoa for Justice League are Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fischer, Willem Dafoe, J.K. Simmons, and Henry Cavill. We’ll find out then if Aquaman’s solo skills make it into the film when it arrives in theaters on November 17, 2017.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
