Jason Momoa Wants To Fight The Legion Of Doom In Justice League 2

If Justice League 2 ever happens, Aquaman star Jason Momoa says he'd love to see the titular heroes take on the Legion of Doom.

Remember the post-credits scene from Justice League? You know, the one where Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor escapes from prison and is seen on board a luxury yacht which is crewed by sexy ladies. He invites Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke to chat with him and asks him a very teasing question: “Shouldn’t we have a league of our own?

Of course, comic book fans will know he’s not talking about the 1992 classic sports comedy. No, he’s speaking of the tyrannical Legion of Doom. At the time, it seemed that DC’s plans were to have their most powerful villains team-up and take down the Justice League. Except, things have changed an awful lot since then and we heard back in the summer that the Legion will now be taking a backseat, as Warner Bros. tries to move away from the shared universe concept and focus more on standalone films.

Still, that hasn’t deterred Jason Momoa from hoping that the villainous team materializes one day. While speaking with The Toronto Sun to promote Aquaman, he was asked about the prospect of a Justice League 2 and said that though he’s still unsure if it’ll happen, if it does, he’d love to see the Legion of Doom appear.

“I’m not sure what they’re doing with Batman, and I’ve heard Henry (Cavill) is out as Superman, so I don’t know the shape of Justice League without Superman and Batman. But the Legion of Doom; seeing all the bad guys together and seeing us come in would be awesome. If that s— happens, they better let me in. I’d definitely like to come riding in on a tidal wave to whoop some ass.”

Unfortunately for Momoa, it doesn’t really seem like Warner Bros. is all that eager to make another team-up film. Especially after the critical and commercial failure of Justice League, which was a plodding Frankensteinian mess of a movie that reeked of corporate interference and had been rewritten and recut into oblivion.

Still, villains like Deathstroke, Lex Luthor and the rest are too valuable to simply leave on the shelf and we imagine that once the DCEU has recovered a bit and is in a healthier state, we might just see the Legion of Doom form on the big screen.
