This Jason Vs. Michael Trailer Is A Horror Fan’s Dream Come True

When you think about it, it's actually a bit crazy that Jason Voorhees hasn't squared off against Michael Myers yet. I mean, they're two of the most iconic horror characters around and in this particular genre, crossovers and mash-ups are a dime a dozen. Understandably, fans have wanted to see a fight between the two slashers ever since their inception and while there's still no studio movies out there that will deliver that, we do have the next best thing.

YouTube user Stryder HD has released an epic new fan-made trailer today for Jason vs. Michael, sending horror fans everywhere into a frenzy. Comprised of clips taken from each killer’s franchise (Friday the 13th and Halloween, respectively), and Trent Duncan’s fan film from a few years back, it’s very well done and certainly matches up to Stryder HD’s other trailers, which have been making waves on the internet lately. Of course, it’s not as exciting as the real thing, but given that we probably won’t ever see a proper crossover between the two, we’ll take what we can get.

As for where you can see these legends next in a more official capacity, well, Michael will actually be back on the big screen quite soon, as there’s a new reboot brewing in development. Headed up by Danny McBride and David Gordon Green, it’ll be with us by next October and is said to be taking the series back to its roots. Details beyond that are scarce, but the film is certainly shaping up nicely.

Jason, on the other hand, isn’t doing too hot. Though a reboot was planned, it’s since been cancelled and when you combine that with the legal issues surrounding the franchise, it doesn’t look too likely that we’ll be seeing the slasher in theatres at any point in the near future.

Thankfully, then, we’ve got this new Jason vs. Michael fan-made trailer to tide us over. Give it a watch up above and as always, let us know your thoughts on it in the comments section.
