After working with David O. Russell in Silver Linings Playbook, which might possibly earn her an Oscar at the end of the month, Jennifer Lawrence will be joining the director and her previous co-star, Bradley Cooper for the upcoming Untitled Abscam project.

The plot is centered on a real life sting operation called Abscam and it follows a con artist (played by Bale), who’s in league with an FBI agent (portrayed by Cooper) to catch other con artists and eliminate corruption among politicians.

The storyline definitely sounds intriguing and the film is currently shaping up to be an interesting period thriller, featuring an impressive cast with Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper in the lead roles, along with Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Louis C.K. It was originally titled American Bullshit but I guess the name didn’t quite stick for Russell, so he’s looking for another title.

I thoroughly enjoyed Lawrence’s performance in Silver Linings Playbook and thought she developed an excellent chemistry with Bradley Cooper. Starring as Bale’s wife, it will be interesting to see her develop a new one with The Dark Knight star.

At the age of 22, Lawrence has achieved quite a lot and has earned a couple of accolades as well, among which include a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in Silver Linings Playbook. Her partnership with Russell has been successful in the past and it’s bound to be successful for their next project.

The Untitled Abscam movie will be produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle and developed at Sony pictures. Eric Singer will pen the script and the movie is scheduled to hit theatres in 2014.

What do you think of Lawrence teaming up again with David O. Russell and Bradley Cooper? Is this a movie you’re excited to see?
