First Look At Jeremy Renner And Gemma Arterton As Hansel & Gretel

Hansel and Gretel are all grown up in Paramount’s Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.

Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton star as the titular siblings, who now work as assassins, killing off witches like the one who tortured them when they were kids. Sounds pretty badass to me.

Entertainment Weekly has the first look at the film, which boasts Will Ferrell and Adam McKay as its producers. A twisted fairy tale movie produced by Will Ferrell? Count me in as confused, but interested.

Though the premise is a little strange, Arterton’s comments about it may have me sold.

“It’s also very, very dark, and bloodthirsty and there’s a lot of cursing. It’s kind of got a [Quentin] Tarantino feel, really.”
