Jim Carrey Looks Awesome In Leaked Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall Set Video

I rarely get overly excited about set videos or leaked photos, as they usually do little to indicate what the final product will look like. That being said, I must admit that the recent set video of Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars in Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall is pretty damn awesome.

I rarely get overly excited about set videos or leaked photos, as they usually do little to indicate what the final product will look like. That being said, I must admit that the recent set video of Jim Carrey as Colonel Stars in Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall is pretty damn awesome.

The vid comes to us courtesy of Unleash the Fanboy and shows little more than Carrey roaming around in full military regalia on the set. Nevertheless, he looks quite badass and nothing like a pet detective.

Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall is bringing back all of our favorite not-so-super superheroes, including Chloe Grace Moretz as Hit Girl, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist and Aaron Johnson as the titular hero. The addition of Jim Carrey to the cast was a welcome one, especially as original Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn headed to the X-Men franchise.

I loved the original film, but am still a wee bit skeptical about the sequel. The original stands so well – and so uniquely – on its own that I don’t really see how there can be much improvement. With Jim Carrey looking so awesome, though, I’m a bit more excited about Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall than I was before.

Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall is set for release in 2013. Check out the video below.
