It appears former True Blood actor Jim Parrack’s role in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad has finally been confirmed. It was rumoured a good while back that he might be playing Deathstroke (much to the chagrin of many fans), but more recently The Wrap’s Jeff Sneider suggested that he will actually be portraying a character named Jonny Frost – and that was evidently accurate.
Actress Corina Calderon, who has a small role in the movie, posted the following to her Instagram page:
“All #HappyCamper on my way to set again, going earlier than my #CallTime just to be there and watch my boy Jim Parrack playing #JonnyFrost do his Thang #SuicideSquad”,
Frost was created by Brian Azzarello for his 2008 Joker graphic novel, and was one of the Clown Prince Of Crime’s main henchmen. It seems he’ll be used in a similar capacity in this film, as Parrack can be briefly glimpsed in the trailer leading Jared Leto’s Joker down a corridor.
Suicide Squad hits theatres on August 5th, 2016 and also stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Boomerang),Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jessie Eisenberg (Lex Luthor) and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc).
