Avengers: Endgame has a ridiculous amount of hype to live up to when it comes out four weeks from now. But for what it’s worth, it sounds like film has gone down extraordinary well with its earliest viewers.

In an interview with Box Office Pro, co-director Joe Russo mentioned that the Avengers: Infinity War sequel is getting some of the best test audience responses of any Marvel movie to date.

“We’re vigilant about using test audiences to tell us whether we’re on the right track or we’re making bad decisions. With Endgame, it had one of the most incredible audience responses in Marvel history. Irrespective of the length, it’s been consistently embraced by the test audiences.”

Joe’s brother Anthony Russo made similar remarks earlier this year in an interview with Collider. While discussing the length of Endgame, the filmmaker mentioned that not only has the movie received “great responses” from test audiences, but few of them have felt the need to get up to go to the bathroom during the exceptionally lengthy screenings.

From the sound of things, viewers aren’t being put off by the pic’s considerable runtime, which was recently reported to be 3 hours and 2 minutes. Whether or not that’s still the length on release day remains to be seen, but at the very least, it’s looking likely that this will be the MCU’s longest feature yet by a considerable margin.

Nonetheless, add up all the footage that we’ve actually seen from the film and it would come to about 5 minutes. Needless to say, Marvel Studios is keeping their cards close to their chest, but despite knowing little about the adventure to come, it’s expected that filmgoers will be showing up in staggering numbers next month. And you can judge for yourself if Avengers: Endgame is worth all the fuss when it arrives in theaters on April 26th.
