John Wick: Chapter 4 Adds Another Martial Arts Badass To The Cast

Shooting is underway on John Wick: Chapter 4, and looking at nothing but the recent onslaught of additions to the cast, Keanu Reeves' title hero is going to have his hands fuller than ever. Obviously, the sharp-suited hitman is no stranger to fending off foes at every turn, but the latest installment has significantly upped the ante in terms of sheer martial arts badassery.

Between them, recently announced stars Hiroyuki Sanada, Donnie Yen and Scott Adkins boast well over 100 years worth of martial arts training in over a dozen different disciplines, while the latter two in particular are famed for their mastery of onscreen hand-to-hand combat and lightning quick reflexes. Even new recruit Shamier Anderson, who hasn’t even starred in an action movie before Chapter 4, shared a behind the scenes video showcasing that he’s no slouch compared to his more established colleagues.

Marko Zaror

It looks as though the roster still isn’t done adding ass-kickers, though, with the news that Marko Zaror has boarded the ensemble. The 43 year-old Chilean took up martial arts at the age of just six, and currently holds black belts in judo and aikido, along with a green belt in shotokan karate. As an onscreen presence, he appeared in several episodes of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series and a single installment of Netflix’s The Defenders, as well as lending support in VOD actioners Undisputed III: Redemption and Savage Dog, both of which starred Scott Adkins in the lead role.

No offense to Zaror, but his filmography doesn’t seem to indicate that he’ll be getting a whole lot of screentime in John Wick: Chapter 4, although we can at least guarantee that he’s going to put up one hell of a fight.
