A while back it was rumored that Johnny Knoxville was on the shortlist for the upcoming Three Stooges film that the Farrelly brothers will be directing. Now it looks as if it’s confirmed. Knoxville will indeed be joining the cast of The Three Stooges. According to Variety, he will play Moe. It makes me wonder if Andy Samberg will also be joining since he was also on the shortlist. I wouldn’t be surprised if he did.
Gearing up for an April start, a number of actors have been linked to the film and I’m sure it won’t be long before the other two stooges are cast. The film will be set in the modern era, and will be a PG film, told in three interconnected short films. Kind of an ambitious idea, especially in this day and age.
I think Knoxville is the perfect choice for the role. His Jackass antics have shown that he is more than capable of physical comedy and I’m excited to see him in the film.
What do you think?
