Twitter leaker @DanielRPK has observed that actor Jonah Hill has just earned two new followers within a curiously short span of time. One of them is Reeves himself, and the other is Hill’s The Wolf of Wall Street co-star Margot Robbie, the latter of whom also happens to play Harley Quinn in the DCEU. This fresh attention from two members of the same superhero saga has led to some speculation that the 21 Jump Street star is being eyed for a role in the franchise, and the fans seem nearly unanimous on who this character might be.

Though it’s yet to be confirmed which major villain Batman will be facing off against next, it was a popular rumor earlier this year that Reeves has the Penguin in mind. And while Frozen’s Josh Gad has already expressed an interest in taking on the role of Oswald Cobblepot, Hill’s new Twitter followers have got people thinking that Warner might’ve gone a different way.

Of course, this is some pretty thin evidence to base any theory on, and even if Hill is joining the DCEU, that’s no guarantee he’ll be wearing the monocle and top hat as the main antagonist of The Batman. Still, until we get some confirmation on the matter, surely there’s no harm in letting people dream a while longer.
