Joseph Gordon-Levitt Rumored To Star As Batman In The Justice League Film

With the way The Dark Knight Rises ended, it was inevitable that there would be some speculation as to whether Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be donning Batman's cape and cowl for either the Justice League film or another Batman reboot.

The report had another interesting bit of information. It turns out we may see Gordon-Levitt as Batman before 2015. Check out what they had to say below.

They’re a long way from filming anything Justice League related, but they appear to be solidifying deals for Gordon-Levitt and, potentially, at least one other actor from the Nolan films to do… something.

Now it’s obviously not nearly enough time to get a quality project done by 2014, so the question is what are they working on the deals for? Is it just for Justice League or do they want Gordon-Levitt to make an appearance before that?

One possibility is a cameo in Man Of Steel. The formula has worked wonders for Marvel with hyping their future movies. Some people are more thrilled by the post-credits scene in Marvel films than they are with the movie itself. However, the hype really isn’t needed, and Man of Steel‘s release isn’t that far into the future.

There would only be time for a solo Batman film if they pushed back production on Justice League. It was originally reported that Superman would be the only character to have a solo film before the group film, and films for individual characters would come after 2015, but the Marvel method of the individual films first has proven to be wildly successful, so maybe Warner has reconsidered their original plan.

As intriguing as the possibility of Gordon-Levitt as Batman is, until it is confirmed by an official source, there’s no reason to count this as a done deal. If it is for real, something official should be announced soon.

There are tons of possibilities as to where Warner is going if they’ve casted Gordon-Levitt, so be sure to check back and we’ll update you as the news comes in.

What would you think of Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Batman? Can he pull it off or is there someone else you’d rather see in the role? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
