Josh Brolin Slams Trolls For Spoiling Avengers: Endgame

The fight for half the universe is on, and it seems the battle against those who want to spoil how Avengers: Endgame ends is raging as well. The Russo brothers have begged fans on social media to not ruin their movie for others, while Robert Downey Jr. also issued a last minute plea to folks to keep the film's secrets to themselves. Heck, Disney has even started an anti-spoiler campaign, #DontSpoilTheEndgame.

Now, though, Thanos himself has weighed in with some words for those who want to wreck the movie for those who haven’t seen it yet. Josh Brolin, who plays the Mad Titan in Endgame, posted the following message on his Instagram earlier this week:

Endgame is the culmination of 22 films in 11 years and holds a very special place in the hearts of both audiences and those who created the movies. If you think about it, some of the biggest fans out there weren’t even born when Iron Man released in 2008. So, if you’re considering spoiling the movie, please, think of the children first.

In the same breath (or two), Brolin thanks both those who’ve made the Marvel Cinematic Universe what it is today, and issues a plea for social media users to stop posting spoilers in the comment sections. He’s even deleted comments himself to protect those who haven’t seen the movie yet. If you’re one of the millions of people who use Facebook daily, and you’ve had to wait a few hours or days after it opened to see the film, then you know the struggle. One scroll in the wrong direction and bam! Decade or childhood ruined.

So, for those of you who think spoiling Avengers: Endgame is fun, heed Thanos’ warning, and mine also. I will find you, and I will Facebook troll you right back. Because that’s really all I’ve got.
