Soon after the titanic dust-up between Doomsday and the DC Trinity in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Zack Snyder’s blockbuster teed up the return of Kal-El just before the credits rolled. Hardly surprising, mind you, given that Henry Cavill is booked in to reprise his role for Justice League late next year.
Fast forward to now and with production well underway on the set of Snyder’s ensemble piece, Cavill has fired up the rumor mill with a teasing Instagram post.
Though he’s been seen donning the standard red and blue suit in early concept art, the image below appears to hint at the iconic black duds of the famed Kryptonian – that, or Henry Cavill has simply slapped on a black-and-white filter. Let the speculation commence!

Elsewhere, Warner Bros. recently lifted the lid on the shimmering new Justice League logo, while voice veteran Kevin Conroy recently offered his two cents on Ben Affleck’s portrayal of the Caped Crusader. Jason Momoa, meanwhile, continues to rock out to Metallica on set.
Pegged to arrive as a single, condensed film on November 17, 2017, Justice League also stars Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fischer, Willem Dafoe, and J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon.
