It’s pretty obvious that there’s more than enough room in theaters for both Marvel and DC Comics adaptations, but that doesn’t stop some fans from almost fanatically supporting one company over the other. However, on National Superhero Day, there’s one person taking the high ground, and that’s Justice League star Henry Cavill.

As you can see below, the actor has taken to Instagram to talk about the importance of superheroes and thank those involved with both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Extended Universe alike, showing that the only rivalry which exists between actors from both companies is the one in the minds of fans.

2017 is shaping up to an exciting year for Cavill. Right now, he’s shooting Mission: Impossible 6 alongside Tom Cruise and will of course be seen in Justice League come November. So far, he hasn’t appeared in anything other than a couple of posters for the film, so we have no idea what to expect from the Man of Steel once he’s resurrected, but we’re certainly looking forward to seeing how Zack Snyder handles it. However the director chooses to bring him back, it should be fun to watch play out, especially as the team will need all the help they can get in their battle against Darkseid.

In the meantime, check out the Instagram post below to see Cavill being so, well, super, and let us know how you plan on celebrating National Superhero Day by dropping a comment in the usual place.
