Karen Gillan Says She Has No Idea How Avengers: Endgame Ends

Speaking to the Toronto Sun in a recent interview, Karen Gillan said she has no idea how Avengers: Endgame ends, and we believe her.

Jimmy Kimmel and Donald Trump don’t always see eye to eye. In fact, they almost never do. On Wednesday night, though, the beloved late night host asked the president to help in addressing what he’s calling a “national emergency”: preventing any more spoilers for Avengers: Endgame from leaking online.

The joke was in reference to the four and half minutes of footage that dropped onto the Internet earlier in the week, much to the chagrin of the Russo Brothers. The co-directors have since asked fans not to spoil the movie for others, just as they did in the lead-up for Avengers: Infinity War, though it remains to be seen whether or not folks will comply with their request.

So far, though, Marvel’s done a pretty good job at keeping spoilers to a minimum, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that not even the cast know everything that happens in Avengers: Endgame. In fact, when asked if she knew how the movie ends, Karen Gillan told the Toronto Sun that she genuinely has no clue how the Russo Brothers plan to conclude the upcoming sequel.

“I genuinely have no idea,” said the actress. “I’ll find out with the rest of the world.”

While Gillan could just be playing dumb here to avoid dropping any spoilers, we do believe her when she says that she doesn’t know how the movie finishes up. In fact, we heard just this week that the only actor who got a full script on set was Robert Downey Jr., with the other cast members receiving only the parts of it that were relevant to their scenes.

That’s a strategy that seems to have paid off, too, as again, the spoilers have certainly been kept to a minimum. But we’ll finally get to see just what secrets Marvel’s been hiding next week, when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26th and destroys the box office in the process.
