Kevin Spacey Allegedly “Exposed Himself” To British Barman, And Offered A £5,000 Watch To Keep Quiet

A British man has alleged that Kevin Spacey exposed himself to him in 2010, and later offered a £5,000 watch to keep quiet.

A British barman is the latest person to come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against Kevin Spacey.

Speaking to The Sun, Daniel Beal, who was 19 at the time of the alleged incident, claimed Spacey “exposed himself” to him in 2010, when he was working at a hotel in West Sussex, England. The disgraced House of Cards actor, who would have been 51, allegedly flashed his manhood to Beal, saying: “It’s big, isn’t it?” and later invited the 19-year-old up to his room.

Beal rejected his advances, and claimed Kevin Spacey gave him his £5,000 Swiss watch to remain quiet about the whole ordeal. A few days after the incident, Spacey’s team reportedly tried to contact the British man and the hotel in order to retrieve the watch, though it’s only in retrospect that Daniel Beal realized he had fallen prey to the actor’s manipulation. For the record, Beal sold the watch immediately, admitting that he “felt dirty wearing it.”

Here’s his statement in full:

Every time I tried to give him a drink he’d touch my hand in a weird way. He was drinking more and more — he got through a bottle of Jack Daniels. I thought he was joking but he took off his watch and gave it to me. Looking back, I realise it was to keep me quiet. Looking back, he was trying to manipulate me from the moment he walked into the bar. In hindsight, that must have been grooming. He was just like his character in House Of Cards — seedy and a bit weird.

Further in the interview, Beal says he was encouraged to come forward about the alleged incident following Anthony Rapp’s story. Earlier this week, the Star Trek: Discovery actor accused Kevin Spacey of making a sexual advance on him when he was only 14-years-old, and soon after that, the floodgates opened.

Victoria Featherstone, artistic director of the Royal Court Theatre, admitted to having concerns about Spacey for years, while Mexican actor Roberto Cavazos later claimed that the Usual Suspects actor “routinely preyed” on young male stars while working under London’s Old Vic.

Production on Netflix’s House of Cards has also been suspended indefinitely, which leaves the show’s immediate future in jeopardy after it was renewed for a sixth and final season earlier in the week. Netflix has since clarified that its decision wasn’t prompted by these troubling allegations, mind you, and we understand the online streamer is now mulling over the possibility of multiple spinoff series.

As for Daniel Beal’s allegations, this is merely the latest wrinkle to the fold, and as we learned just this morning, Kevin Spacey is by no means the only Hollywood veteran to be thrust into the spotlight. Thanks to the LA Times, we’ve also caught wind of Brett Ratner’s alleged misconduct, while hundreds of women have also come forward about the disgraced Harvey Weinstein.
