We’re now just over a five weeks out from the release of Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and in a newly surfaced Russian poster, we get what might be our best look yet at the Big G’s greatest foe. While 2014’s Godzilla took a surprisingly restrained approach to presenting the clash between giants, King of the Monsters helmsman Michael Dougherty offered his assurance last December that there’ll be “no holding back” in the upcoming sequel. Sure enough, the film’s promotion hasn’t been shy about putting its titular monsters front and center, and this latest artwork is certainly no exception, allowing us to see the “Golden Demise” in all his scaly glory.

Godzilla and Ghidorah won’t be the only Titans roaming the Earth in next month’s release, though. The winged beasts Rodan and Mothra, for instance, are also set to enter the fray, and according to Dougherty, his feature will even introduce some original creatures.

Like Thomas Middleditch’s character said in last December’s trailer, it will be up to mankind to work out which of these Titans are here to protect us, and which are here to threaten us. Representing Team Human is a cast led by Kyle Chandler and Vera Farmiga as a pair of divorced scientists, along with their daughter, played by Millie Bobby Brown.

Chandler and Brown are already confirmed to return in 2020’s Godzilla vs Kong, which will see the big lizard going up against the giant ape when it comes out on March 13th, 2020. But first, we’ll find out how the king earns his crown when Godzilla: King of the Monsters hits theaters on May 31st.
