We still don’t have any official synopsis or plot details, but reports have clarified that what we can now call The King’s Man will be set during the First World War and follow the first Kingsman agents, including young soldier Conrad (played by Harry Dickinson) as they come up against the evil Rasputin (Rhys Ifans). The prequel sports just as impressive a cast as the first two installments in the franchise as well, including – but not limited to – Ralph Fiennes, Daniel Bruhl, Gemma Arterton, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Djimon Hounsou.

Director Matthew Vaughn has warned that, though he’s “very proud” of the film, The King’s Man is “very, very different” from the mainline movies. He even said that he suspects it might appeal to a completely separate audience. “The people who hated Kingsman would probably love it, and all the people who love Kingsman might go, ‘What the hell has he gone and done?’” Vaughn explained earlier this month

Even if that does turn out to be the case, fans should rest assured that an actual Kingsman 3 is on the way that promises to conclude the story of Taron Egerton’s Eggsy and Colin Firth’s Harry Hart. It’s thought that it’ll shoot next year before hitting theaters in 2021.

The King’s Man, meanwhile, will be in cinemas on Valentine’s Day.
