Marvel has been awfully smart when it comes to promoting the highly anticipated sequel so far, showing off just enough to get fans excited without dropping major plot points which ruin the movie. It seems like things will stay that way, too, as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn has taken to Twitter today to reveal that this trailer is indeed the final look at the film and will play in theaters until its release.

We know that plenty of TV spots and promos for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will find their way online before May, but it’s interesting to think that this will be the last full trailer, especially as there’s no doubt so much more Marvel could show off to build anticipation. The fact that they’re not doing so is no bad thing, of course, and it would actually be pretty cool if they keep Ego in particular under wraps for the time being.

Again, there will surely be more in the way of marketing material for the film before we get to May, make no mistake about it, but at least we now know not to expect another full-length trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
