Latest Avengers 4 Fan Theory Pinpoints What’s Missing From The Marvel Sequel

YouTuber Webhead has proposed a new Marvel fan theory that appears to identify the ways in which Avengers 4 differs from the comics.

Up until now, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has earned its success by delivering a rich and complex film franchise all the while remaining relatively loyal to the source material.

It’s not a one-to-one adaptation, of course, as Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has made a conscious decision to take some of the more fantastical characters (see: Scarlet Witch and Doctor Strange) and ensure that they are compelling, yes, but also inherently believable. So much so that you often forget you’re watching a wizard and a witch battle evil alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

And in keeping with tradition, it seems the untitled Avengers 4 will also split from comic book canon by ignoring the Skrulls, along with that Sequel Wars storyline that continues to be floated as a possible rumor. All of this (and more!) is covered in Webhead’s latest speculative video, which can be viewed in all of its glory down below.

To cut to the chase, Webhead believes neither Deadpool nor the X-Men will be included in Avengers 4, as Disney is yet to reach an agreement over the sale of 21st Century Fox and its entertainment assets. Ditto for the Skrulls, which have been earmarked as the villains of next year’s Captain Marvel solo movie.

Rumors of a full-blown Sequel Wars adaptation are also pie in the sky, as is the inclusion of Adam Warlock, who has long been tipped for a cameo role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. He’s a big, big part of the “Infinity Gauntlet” comics, but it’s looking increasingly likely that Warlock will be shelved until Vol. 3, as he would only undercut Thanos’ mighty power if Marvel chose to draft him in in time for Avengers 4.

And last but not least, Eddie Brock (AKA Venom) won’t be appearing in Marvel’s 2019 sequel, which is really more of a given than anything else – just don’t rule out a potential Peter Parker cameo in the symbiote’s movie…
