Latest Disney News: Ms. Marvel draws thunder but no love as Disney v. DeSantis gets a visit from the Trump squad

Apparently, being 'more grounded' would have halved the Mouse's troubles.

Disney is far from leaving its troubles in the dust — though it can solve the Kang fiasco while keeping Jonathan Majors — as even its own star is ironically busy pointing out why one of its biggest films continues to be a subject of disdain.

Meanwhile, Ron DeSantis has scored another point in his feud against Disney but whether he will be gaining anything further from the situation is balanced on the tip of a double-edged knife. Talking about feuds, for once, Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel isn’t the focus of unnecessary hate as Ms. Marvel’s face has sparked off a fresh wave of very justified disappointment ahead of The Marvels’ release.

If anyone is keeping score, Disney just lost a big point to the Florida governor as district judge Mark Walker removed himself from the lawsuit against DeSantis as he discovered that one of his relatives owns 30 shares of stock in the Walt Disney Company. Now, the case has been reassigned to Judge Allen Winsor, who joined the federal bench after Donald Trump appointed him.

As Winsor has already dismissed two lawsuits challenging Florida’s controversial “Don’t Say Gay” bill, the future doesn’t look too bright for Disney. But it doesn’t mean it will be an advantage to DeSantis either as Trump has made it pretty clear where he stands on the governor’s single-minded crusade against the Mouse House.

Ms. Marvel and not Captain Marvel is getting all the heat, and for the right reasons

Brie Larson’s portrayal as Captain Marvel has often attracted the ire of MCU fans for unjustified reasons. But now, Ms. Marvel is the new source of disappointment for the fandom as new Hasbro figurines of The Marvels’ three superheroes have left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth — while Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau closely match their on-screen counterparts, Kamala Khana’s figurine looks like an eerie Green Goblin with hair on his head.

Chris Hemsworth, star of the seriously unhinged Love and Thunder, feels Quantumania needed to be ‘more grounded’

Yep, you read that right. Hemsworth is busy imparting some very ironic pearls of wisdom as he explained exactly why Quantumania failed to be the exceptional Phase Five initiator it was supposed to be. In his words, the Ant-Man threequel failed because it once again threw the MCU into the whole “the universe is in peril” drama instead of aiming for a “more personal and grounded” approach – wonder what he has to say about Disney’s new delusion. We know, Taika Waititi directed Thor 4, but Hemsworth did go ahead with the bonkers script. For him to criticize another Marvel film of similarly middling quality… hello, pot, meet kettle.
