The first reactions to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania are now in, following Marvel‘s latest movie hosting its splashy red carpet premiere on Monday night, and thankfully they indicate that the incoming flick is set to round out the trilogy with as much aplomb as anticipated. On the other hand, Marvel’s last film, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, is continuing it streak of bad luck since it arrived on Disney Plus last week as it heads back into theaters…

Anybody else getting whiplash as they try to stay on top of the ongoing tennis match of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘s fortunes? Ryan Coogler’s movie seemed to get a big win over its newfound critics by breaking a major Disney Plus record, but then it got lumbered with yet another piece of bad news once it finally opened in Chinese cinemas. Unfortunately, the long-awaited lift on the nation’s Marvel movie ban hasn’t resulted in big business in the territory, with poor box office numbers being paired with weak reviews. At least everyone can still agree that they love Chadwick Boseman and T’Challa.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hype is so high fans think it’s coming for Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s crown

With 2022’s movies proving so divisive, Spider-Man: No Way Home remains comfortably the most widely popular of Marvel’s post-Endgame offerings to date. However, that might not be the case for long if Scott Lang’s latest adventure ends up being as good as fans are hoping. The latest promo for the threequel has folks convinced that Quantumania is going to achieve the same high-quality mix of multiversal shenanigans, shocking developments, and emotion as NWH did before it. That’s a big ask, but the franchise has already taught us not to discount the MCU’s smallest hero.

Kang is already leaving Thanos in the dust, according to Ant-Man 3 first reactions

As said above, the first reactions to Quantumania have dropped, and practically all of them have one thing in common: everybody loves Kang. In fact, it might just be hyperbole talking, but critics seem convinced that Jonathan Majors’ conqueror is immediately wiping away any lingering memories of Josh Brolin’s Thanos and is so fearsome and formidable that he makes the Infinity Saga’s big bad look as intimidating as She-Hulk‘s Leap-Frog. Well, it does seem like he’s already killed multiple multiversal Avengers off-screen (including Thor!) so maybe they have a point.

You don’t need to have a head the size of MODOK’s to guess that another round of the latest Marvel news will be coming your way tomorrow.
