Latest Marvel News: Brie Larson branded useless as bitter ‘Daredevil’ veteran claims an incoming project almost got the ‘Batgirl’ treatment

We're four months away from 'The Marvels,' and those knives are plenty sharp already.

Maybe one day Brie Larson will win over the section of the Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom who’ve made it their mission to tear her down at every turn, but if it happens, then it’s a long way away.

The trolls have mobilized yet again to denigrate the franchise’s resident Captain Marvel, which isn’t exactly a surprise at this point, but they’re splitting hairs more than usual this time. Elsewhere, a deposed Daredevil veteran is not happy that Born Again is singing from its own songbook, and they even made a bold claim about an incoming series to boot.

As always, there’s never a dull moment when it comes to Marvel, and the hits just keep on coming.

Brie Larson is out there saving the universe, but still branded useless

The latest savage meme to sweep the internet in opposition to Brie Larson’s existence has seen Carol Danvers renamed “Captain Useless,” thanks to her penchant for having other characters explain her whereabouts in various projects.

Of course, it shouldn’t been to be pointed out that she’s never been an earthbound hero to begin with, but if the opportunity arises to trash the Academy Award winner and headline act of November’s The Marvels, then you can bet there’s going to be a lot of people willing to take it.

Echo almost got the Batgirl treatment, claims somebody with no ties to the MCU

There’s been no shortage of rumor and speculation touting Echo as a disaster to happen, with Charlie Cox’s Netflix stunt double Charlie Brewster pouring fuel on the fire when he claimed he’d heard the series was almost given the Batgirl treatment and ditched entirely.

Alaqua Cox’s solo show is in fact coming to Disney Plus in November, but its status as the first-ever episodic MCU original to be released all at once is naturally going to increase the belief that it won’t be very good, regardless of whether or not there’s a shred of truth to Brewster’s comments.

Daredevil veteran believes Marvel is onto a loser with Born Again

It’s that man Charlie Brewster again, with the stunt performer this time opining that Marvel is making a “huge mistake” by not bringing any behind the scenes veterans back for reboot Born Again.

This time, he’s definitely got a point, because anyone who watched all three seasons of the Netflix favorite will be expecting at least some DNA to be embedded in its successor, especially when Charlie Cox comes within 100 feet of a hallway. We’ll just have to see, seeing as She-Hulk: Attorney at Law already teased it before pulling the rug right out.

That’s it for another week of Marvel madness, but be sure to check back tomorrow, because it will definitely begin all over again.
