Latest Marvel News: Jonathan Majors isn’t even the biggest problem with Kang as the studio’s radio silence on his future gets louder and louder

Do you hear that? It's the sound of silence.

On the one hand, this Friday has been a relatively quiet day on the Marvel front, with Spider-Man fans sitting back and checking out Sony’s back catalog after it finally arrives on Disney Plus at long last. On the other hand, however, the fact that it’s been quiet for news is a major story in itself as the studio continues to maintain a surprising silence on the whole Jonathan Majors situation. Speaking of whom, whatever happens with his casting, it’s possible Kang the Conqueror has bigger problems on his plate…

Quantumania critics realize Jonathan Majors isn’t Kang’s most damning problem — it’s his incompetence

Just like everything else to do with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania following its emergence on digital, the Quantum Realm despot himself is coming under renewed fire, with fans laying into the villain for reasons that actually have nothing to do with the man who plays him. Kang is being hit with claims of gross incompetence after the overpowered antagonist totally failed to use one of his handiest abilities while doing battle with Team Ant-Man. If he’s going to goof up like that straight out the gate, what hope does he have of conquering the entire multiverse come Avengers: The Kang Dynasty?

Kevin Feige’s silence on the Majors situation is truly deafening as the studio continues to pretend he doesn’t exist

Even as Majors gets dropped from his management team, upcoming projects, and is even spoken out against by a Marvel employee, the studio continues to make no public comment on the situation involving one of the Multiverse Saga’s most important players. In fact, it seems like Marvel’s current tactic is to stick its fingers in its ears and pretend he doesn’t exist. Just see the latest Quantumania promo, for instance, which conveniently edits out any possible glimpses of Kang — a sharp change from his heavy presence in theatrical marketing. It’s possible the studio is waiting to find out how his court appearance goes on May 8 before coming down either way.

The impossible happens as MCU fans praise Phase Four… for its visuals?!

It’s hard to narrow down the number one criticism fans had about the MCU’s Phase Four, but one of the most recurring was certainly all the blasting of bad CGI in projects like Quantumania, She-Hulk, and Thor: Love and Thunder. That’s why we can hardly believe our eyes upon the Marvel fandom completely changing its tune and not just a) praising Phase Four period but also b) praising it for its… spectacular visuals? What’s going on here? Did an incursion between our universe and another one where Phase Four was actually good happen while we were sleeping or something?

More of the latest Marvel news, like MCU fans finally putting a name on what’s really killing the Multiverse Saga’s chances, will follow before you’ve started the next Spider-Man film on Disney Plus.
