Although we’ve got both Secret Invasion and Loki season 2 to entertain us in the interim, we won’t see another Marvel Studios movie in theaters until The Marvels this November. Indy fans have long written off 2008’s much-maligned Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but those tempted to scratch it off their marathon ahead of The Dial of Destiny might want to persevere with it — as a contemporary rewatch reveals the Steven Spielberg production is unexpectedly prophetic when it comes to the MCU future of Harrison Ford, who is joining the franchise in next year’s Captain America: Brave New World. So, yes, try and ignore the fridge that somehow survives a nuke and whatever the heck’s going on with those aliens, and Marvel lovers might find Indy 4 is worth watching after all.
