Original Six Avengers Assemble For Empire’s Stunning Endgame Cover

The trailers for Avengers: Endgame so far have given us various unions of the characters - with the Quantum suits scene of the recent teaser getting the closest to showing everyone together so far. However, the movie's marketing has still yet to give us the original six Avengers teaming up once again. At least officially, that is. This leaked Empire cover finally reveals the OG Earth's Mightiest Heroes side by side for the first time since 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Thankfully, then, this leaked Empire cover finally reveals the OG Earth’s Mightiest Heroes side by side for the first time since 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.  Reddit user Lasver57 shared a shot of the cover we’re probably not meant to see yet, which teases the long-awaited reunion that we’re about to get in Endgame.

From left to right, we have Hawkeye in his new edgy Ronin guise, complete with mohawk, the clean-shaven Captain America with his classic costume on, and Iron Man in the latest upgrade of his armor. Behind him is the Hulk, who’s back in the green after sitting out most of Avengers: Infinity War. Then there’s Thor, armed with Stormbreaker and, last but not least, Black Widow. Note that she’s sporting her IW blonde short hair look.

Following the Decimation, these six heroes are virtually all that remains to protect the galaxy, alongside Nebula and Rocket as the last of the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Avengers’ old ally War Machine and Ant-Man, who managed to survive the Snap thanks to being lost in the Quantum Realm. Given this, we expect Endgame to be something of a celebration of those remarkable people who came together with an idea to fight the battles that we never could.

The sad truth is, though, that this is likely the end of the line for at least one, or maybe more, of the 2012 Avengers team. The big money’s on either Iron Man or Captain America, while the only one we’re confirmed to see more of is Natasha Romanoff in the Black Widow solo movie. And even then, that’s a prequel. So really, no one’s safe in Avengers: Endgame.
