LeBron James Will Be A Part Of Judd Apatow’s Trainwreck

Well, this is random. LeBron James has revealed via a Tweet that he’s joined the cast of Universal’s upcoming comedy, Trainwreck. Directed by Judd Apatow, the film just added Method Man to its cast as well, and already stars Amy Schumer, Bill Hader, Brie Larson, Colin Quinn, Vanessa Bayer, Tilda Swinton, John Cena and Mike Birbiglia – an eclectic group of actors if I’ve ever seen one.

The film, which Schumer also penned as a star vehicle for herself, will follow a basket case who is trying to figure out her life. It’s a vague synopsis, and not much to go on, but that’s all we have at this time. Plot details are being kept tightly under wraps, which is a bit odd given the nature of the film, but I guess we’ll just have to wait until we’re closer to the July 24th, 2015 release date to find out more.

This being a Judd Apatow movie, I’m sure that it’s going to be firing on all cylinders when it comes to the comedy side of things, and I imagine that it will be just as brilliant as his previous efforts, especially with rising star Amy Schumer leading the way. Apatow is one of the funniest minds in comedy today, and his talent is rivalled by few. Despite the strange group of actors and actresses that he’s assembled for this one, I still have full faith that it will be another absolutely hilarious effort.

Tell us, are you surprised to see LeBron James joining Trainwreck? Does his involvement make you more excited to check it out? Sound off below!
