Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now in cinemas worldwide and already breaking box office records, but today also saw the release of John Williams’ fantastic score for the J.J. Abrams-helmed release. While it’s available to buy on CD and digitally, it’s also on Spotify, and you can listen to each of the tracks in the player below (don’t worry if you haven’t seen the movie, there are no spoiler-y titles).
While it’s tough to zero in on a favourite right now, these tracks are all fantastic, and if you’ve seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens, you’ll no doubt agree that they compliment the action on screen perfectly. Of course, Williams scored all of the Star Wars prequels, but his return for this movie feels like a much bigger deal. Whether or not he’ll be back for Star Wars Episode VIII has yet to be confirmed, but it’s hard to imagine him sitting that or IX out.
Starring original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and franchise newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now in theatres.
