The Lizard Makes His Official Debut In Stills From The Amazing Spider-Man

With all the excitement of The Avengers arriving in theaters on Friday, Marvel decided to give us even more to be excited about with the first two official stills of The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) in The Amazing Spider-Man. The pictures are not the best quality, and seem to be screenshots from the trailer that will debut tomorrow. In one, The Lizard is shown in his famous lab coat, while the other provides a close-up of his hand grasping Peter Parker's camera.

With all the excitement of The Avengers arriving in theaters on Friday, comic book fans have even more to be excited about with the first two official stills of The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) in The Amazing Spider-Man. The pictures are not the best quality and seem to be screenshots from the trailer that will debut tomorrow. That being said, they’re still worth a look.

In one, The Lizard is shown in his famous lab coat, while the other provides a close-up of his hand grasping Peter Parker’s camera.

While the original Spider-Man franchise was a big success under Sam Raimi, The Amazing Spider-Man has the potential to blow those movies out of the water. It features an all star cast, and will open in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D theatres on July 3.

This time around, Stan Lee‘s created world will come to life via director, Marc Webb. This revamp’s aforementioned stellar cast includes Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field.

Check out the second still below.
