A Lot Of People Are Walking Out Of Holmes & Watson Screenings

Sony's Holmes & Watson is so bad that many people are actually walking out of their screenings, finding the film unbearable to sit through.

One of the biggest duds of 2018 is without a doubt Holmes & WatsonThough fans of Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly were pretty excited for the comic duo’s third collaboration – following their great work in Talladega Nights and Step Brothers – the Sherlock Holmes spoof has been slammed by vicious reviews from critics and found itself with lots of hate on social media from audiences.

It turns out that Sony knew they had a flop on their hands with Holmes & Watson, too. In fact, the studio desperately tried to cut their losses, trying to offload the film to Netflix in the months leading up to release. Unfortunately for them, the streaming site wouldn’t take it and so, Sony had no choice but to dump it into theaters. And to say that viewers are unhappy with that they’re seeing would be an understatement.

Already, a ton of people have taken to Twitter to reveal that they actually walked out of their screening as they simply couldn’t stand another minute of Holmes & Watson. Don’t believe us? Just check out some of the reactions below:

Ouch! Given the current drought of Sherlock Holmes content that’s plaguing us, it’s certainly a shame that Holmes & Watson is such a flop. With BBC’s Sherlock on indefinite hiatus and Sherlock Holmes 3 still a ways away from hitting theaters, it seems fans of the iconic detective will have to wait a while longer before they can get their fix.

Although, if you’re absolutely craving another encounter with the character, you can always take your chances on buying a ticket for Holmes & Watson. Just don’t be surprised if you end up walking out before the end credits roll.
