Comic Book Movie is reporting that the first trailer for Man Of Steel may be playing in front of The Dark Knight Rises, which would make perfect sense seeing as both films are property of Warner Bros. Oh, and they both appeal to the exact same demographic.

UPDATE: This is just a rumor and is not official. Sorry everyone, you’ll have to keep waiting.

Comic Book Movie is reporting that the first trailer for Man Of Steel may be playing in front of The Dark Knight Rises, which would make perfect sense seeing as both films are property of Warner Bros. Oh, and they both appeal to the exact same demographic.

Though this hasn’t been confirmed by the studio just yet, it could turn out to be true.

Below is a blurb from a fan-run website, check it out and see what you think.

“Warner Bros. will begin promoting its Zack Snyder-directed Superman reboot ‘Man of Steel,’ in a few days (a whole year before it’s June 14, 2013 release date). The studio had a similar strategy with ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. The teaser trailer for that film debuted July 18, 2011, almost a year to the day of its July 20, 2012 scheduled release date. The ‘Man of Steel’ teaser trailer is set to debut on or before July 20 (When The Dark Knight Rises arrives) with official movie stills to appear in movie magazines and online in the next few days!”

Normall, I would dismiss this type of thing as nothing but a rumor but in this case, I don’t doubt it. Aside from the reasons I mentioned above, we have seen next to nothing from the film and it’s about time we got some promotional material.

Now that Warner Bros. will have The Dark Knight Rises out of the gate, it’s time to start building the hype train for Man Of Steel. Don’t you think?
