Margot Robbie Training Photos Tease Harley’s New Birds Of Prey Costume

To lovers of the extended Bat-Family, the upcoming Birds of Prey movie could be described as a dream come true. I don't know about you, but I'm super excited to see the likes of Black Canary and Huntress on the silver screen - not to mention the cinematic debut of the villainous Black Mask.

To lovers of the extended Bat-Family, the upcoming Birds of Prey movie could be described as a dream come true. I don’t know about you, but I’m super excited to see the likes of Black Canary and Huntress on the silver screen – not to mention the cinematic debut of the villainous Black Mask.

As you likely know by now, Harley Quinn accounts for a significant part of the equation. After all, we’re to be firsthand witnesses of her “Fantabulous Emancipation.” We may have already met Margot Robbie’s iteration of the character in 2016’s Suicide Squad, sure, but there’s so much more to explore with her.

Case in point are some images making their rounds over at Reddit. Seen below, Ms. Robbie can be glimpsed in the midst of her training for the DC-based epic. And to someone as intimately familiar with comics starring the Clown Princess of Crime such as myself, these are more telling than one would think.

Cool as Harley’s look in Suicide Squad was, it had pretty much been an original creation by that flick’s costuming department. Based on what we’re seeing here though, the derby girl attire made popular by artists such as Amanda Conner, Chad Hardin and Stephane Roux during the days of the New 52 will inform the next cinematic outing.

Should this be the case, it probably won’t be long before the next costume to take Halloween parties and conventions by storm will be revealed. Personally, I’d love to see Margot dye her hair red and black, but my gut tells me she’s sticking with blonde.

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) arrives in theaters on February 7th, 2020. Until then, keep watching this space as more info surfaces.
