Mark Hamill Shares His Thoughts On Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

By all accounts, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is a bona fide success for Disney and fans couldn't be happier. Throughout the summer the film underwent some extensive reshoots and coupled with rumors of the studio watering down various scenes, it sounded like the Gareth Edwards-directed prequel might turn out to be a bit of a disaster. Thankfully, that wasn't the case.

While not quite as exhilarating and nostalgic as Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rogue One is still a thrilling ride, packed with some fantastic new characters and an explosive third act. So far, both critics and audiences alike have been receiving the film quite well and if those box office numbers from over the weekend are anything to go by, it’s definitely going to be generating a healthy profit for the studio.

One person who fans are always interested to hear from when it comes to their opinion on Star Wars films is Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill. While the actor wasn’t involved in Rogue One in any way, he’s now seen it and over the weekend, he shared his thoughts on the spinoff via Twitter:

It’s nice to hear that Hamill is as much on board with the film as everyone else is, as his opinion does matter to the franchise’s fans. We’ve yet to hear from some of the other prominent Star Wars actors, but we can’t imagine anyone not enjoying what Gareth Edwards has put together here. It’s an excellent effort overall and we’re thrilled that it all turned out alright in the end.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is now playing in theatres everywhere. Tell us, have you seen the film yet? If so, what did you think of it? Sound off with your thoughts down below!
