To remind us of this, two of the movie’s stars have recently taken to their Instagram accounts to share some behind-the-scenes sneak peeks at how their characters are realized on screen. First up, Mark Ruffalo posted a shot of himself in the motion capture “pajamas” that are used to track his physical on set performance as the Hulk, allowing the visual effects team to replace him with the Jade Giant in the finished piece.

Even though he’s a veteran at this process by now, Ruffalo still can’t get his head around the way that it works, captioning his image with: “Man, the movie world is crazy. Still not 100% sure how this becomes Hulk.”

Next up, Karen Gillan gave us a glimpse at how Nebula unwinds after finishing her scenes for the day. The Guardians of the Galaxy star shared a fun short video of herself passing the time while her make-up artists remove her bald, blue head-dress – known as a “de-rig” in the industry.

The actress has posted a similar video to this before, featuring her singing along to Boy George’s “Karma Chameleon.” This time around though, Gillan gives her own rendition of The Village People’s “YMCA.” It looks like Star-Lord’s vintage music tastes are rubbing off on her.

Avengers 4 started filming back in August and is scheduled to continue until July. As such, we expect a lot more to leak out from the production over the coming months, so be sure to stay tuned.
