Marvel Debuts 15 New HD Photos From Ant-Man And The Wasp

With Peyton Reed's sequel now just on the horizon, Marvel has begun the marketing blitz for Ant-Man and the Wasp, it seems.

The MCU is big on superhero teams, but the franchise hasn’t given us too many dynamic duos over the years. That’ll change with the next Marvel movie, though, when Ant-Man and the Wasp sees Evangeline Lilly’s Hope Van Dyne finally suit up and fight crime alongside Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang.

Yes, proving there’s still life after Avengers: Infinity War, the studio has today delivered a brand new batch of HD photos from Wasp, which might look a bit familiar. That’s because they’re mostly pulled from the recent trailers, though we aren’t exactly complaining.

After all, Peyton Reed’s sequel promises twice the fun and another breathless monologue from Michael Peña’s lovable Luis when it makes a beeline for theaters on July 6th, meaning it should act as the perfect palate cleanser after the devastating finale of Infinity War.

Speaking of which, to avoid the complicated ending of Joe and Anthony Russo’s aforementioned film, Ant-Man and the Wasp will be set in the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War instead, with Scott once again in trouble with the law after joining Cap’s team of fugitive vigilantes.

It’s up to Hope and Hank Pym (a returning Michael Douglas) to get him back on track, then, eventually leading to a deep dive into Marvel’s Quantum Realm, where we expect the titular duo to go sub-atomic in their search for the wayward Wasp. The original Wasp, that is, as played by the legendary Michelle Pfeiffer.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will be the third and final Marvel release of 2018, and after the back-to-back success of both Black Panther and Infinity War, it’ll be interesting to see if the Scott Lang follow-up finds itself with a boon in box office receipts, given its opening under the shadow of what is essentially the biggest Marvel movie in the history of Marvel movies.
