Marvel Fans Angry At Tom Holland For Spoiling Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame has been in cinemas for almost two months, and currently ranks as the second highest grossing film of all time. With that in mind, you wouldn’t think that there’d be many spoiler-conscious Marvel fans still left in the world who haven’t got round to seeing the Avengers: Infinity War sequel, but apparently they’re out there, and they’re now mad that Tom Holland gave away one of the film’s biggest developments.

The MCU star recently appeared on The Graham Norton Show to promote the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home. While discussing the territory covered by next month’s release and its connections to Endgame, Holland made the following reference to a certain superhero’s demise:

“The film is a direct continuation of Avengers: Endgame so we deal with the ramifications of the blip, of the death of Tony Stark. Sorry if anyone hasn’t seen the film! If you haven’t, then you’re living under a rock, to be honest.”

Seeing how Endgame’s global box office total recently passed the $2.745 billion mark, we can safely assume that the vast majority of MCU fans were already clued in to the death of Iron Man. Even last month’s trailer for Far From Home explicitly references this development, as Peter Parker continues to process his grief.

Nonetheless, it seems that a few viewers of The Graham Norton Show somehow managed to avoid this revelation for weeks on end, only for Holland to give the game away. As a result, fans have been taking to Twitter to vent their frustration at the notorious blabbermouth:

In Holland’s defense, co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo officially lifted the film’s spoiler ban after its second weekend in theaters, and the subject of Tony’s death has been openly discussed across the internet ever since. It’s therefore pretty understandable that Holland felt at liberty to spill the beans, but if you still haven’t given Avengers: Endgame a watch, then you may want to make time before the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home on July 2nd.
