Marvel Fans Are Angry That The Wasp Is Being Left Off The Avengers: Endgame Posters

This last week has seen the release of two Avengers: Endgame posters that show not just the MCU’s surviving heroes, but also some of Thanos’ victims, most of whom died in the snap that concluded Avengers: Infinity War. But while last Thursday’s Chinese poster and this morning’s IMAX poster both managed to cram a lot of characters into one image, neither had any room for Hope van Dyne, aka The Wasp.

As you may recall, Scott Lang’s partner was last seen in the mid-credits sequence of Ant-Man and the Wasp, where she and her parents all turned to dust as part of the Mad Titan’s purging of the universe. More recently, the heroine was included among the dozens of character posters that dropped last week, which exhibited an array of both living and recently deceased heroes.

But while Hope was apparently important enough to be included in that particular promotional push, the character has been absent from all posters since. And to some Twitter users, her exclusion is a glaring oversight.

Actress Evangeline Lilly has already confirmed that she’s shot some footage for Endgame, so it’s understandable that fans are finding it a little strange that she’s only appeared on one poster so far. Then again, maybe the IMAX and Chinese posters were limiting themselves to only dead characters from Infinity War to avoid overcrowding the artwork or confusing filmgoers who skipped Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Regardless, it’s looking unlikely that Lilly will get a huge amount of screen time in Avengers: Endgame, but perhaps she can still play a small part in the movie’s heavily rumored time travel plot. We’ll find out either way when the film hits theaters on April 26th.
