Marvel fans are fearing the worst: Miles Morales joining the ‘Morbius’ universe

Miles Morales deserves better!

It was recently revealed that Miles Morales will soon get his own live-action film after this Spidey-character rose to the height of his popularity in 2018. Unfortunately, it’s currently unknown which superhero universe this live-action version of Spider-Man will enter, and some pessimistic fans are already preparing for the worst.

While Miles Morales was referenced in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it is unlikely that this Spidey-variant will enter the MCU. Fans worry that this young superhero will end up in the Morbius cinematic universe since the film is more likely to be solely produced by Sony Pictures. With that in mind, fears of this superhero’s downfall began to linger in people’s minds.

Fortunately, some hopeful fans are desperately praying that Sony Pictures would give this character justice and have him enter the MCU. After all, he was referenced in No Way Home, so there is a chance for this young superhero to get the respect he deserves. Even if the MCU doesn’t have plans for him just yet, at least have this character be in a separate universe, away from Sony’s other Marvel IP.

Hopefully Sony Pictures doesn’t double down on its mistake and don’t use Miles Morales’ popularity to revive its Morbius film. If the studio wants to give this hero the respect he deserves, a stand-alone film would be the ideal choice, especially if Marvel Studios doesn’t want to include this version of Spider-Man in its cinematic universe.

So far, it’s currently unknown who will be playing Miles in the live-action adaptation, nor do we know when this film is scheduled to come out. Fortunately, fans can still enjoy Miles Morales in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse as it will swing its way to theaters on June 2, 2023.
