Marvel Fans Fleeing Social Media After Huge Avengers: Endgame Leak

If you're a Marvel fan, the chances are you've heard that a major Avengers: Endgame leak has appeared on social media over the last day. Don't worry, we won't be discussing it here so this post is 100% spoiler-free. If you've done the smart thing and avoided the leak, all you need to know is that movie-ruining details have found their way online and, naturally, they're spreading like wildfire.

If you’ve done the smart thing and avoided the leak, all you need to know is that huge plot details have found their way online and, naturally, they’re spreading like wildfire.

Obviously, you can try and block key terms on Twitter to avoid these spoilers, but crafty trolls are finding ways around this and deliberately dropping the leaked details on fans’ doorsteps. As such, many people have decided that the only thing to do at this point is to flee social media for the next week or so until they’ve seen Endgame as the filmmakers intended. If going cold turkey is too much for you though, maybe follow this person’s advice and just post your own content while avoiding your timeline so as to make sure you don’t come across any spoilers?

Some folks are hopping off Twitter because they don’t trust themselves not click on the spoilers if they turn up on their timeline. But are you strong enough to resist like this guy?

Maybe the key is just to mute everything. We’d recommend starting right at the beginning of the dictionary and working your way through until the end.

For some people, it’s too late to stay completely spoiler-free, but they’re taking a Twitter vacation before they see anything else they might regret.

Put it however you want, but the truth of the matter is that the safest thing to do is simply stay off social media until you’ve seen the movie.

If you’ll recall, the Russo brothers warned fans at this time last year to leave the internet until after they’d seen Avengers: Infinity War. No doubt they’ll soon release a similar message now with the film only 10 days away. If you trust that you’ll be able to navigate your way through the minefield though, feel free to continue as normal – just be careful out there until  Avengers: Endgame finally arrives in theaters on April 26th.
