Most of all, it’ll see Peter Parker utterly crushed by Tony Stark’s death, as the opening scene finds the wall-crawler breaking down in a chat with Happy Hogan about how much he misses his mentor. And the fans weren’t ready for it.

Then, just when you thought it was safe, they go and show Peter wearing the shades Tony wore in Avengers: Infinity War.

Not that the trailer was all heartbreak, though. As you’d expect, it also teased a funny, thrilling movie, and here’s something more light-hearted that Peter’s inherited from Iron Man: a knack for ignoring Nick Fury’s phone calls.

Speaking of Fury, he nabs the best line in the whole trailer.

We also can’t wait to see how Spidey handles the Elementals invading Europe. Cue some epic action scenes.

Oh, and can we all just appreciate how good Jake Gyllenhaal looks in his Mysterio get-up. The MCU could have a new iconic villain on its hands.

The trailer also features a major reveal about Mysterio, with Nick Fury dropping the bombshell that Quentin Beck is from another Earth in the Marvel multiverse. This could be a huge deal for the MCU but, knowing Mysterio’s reputation as a master of illusions and a gifted actor, some fans aren’t taking the information at face value.

Finally, this last tweet sums up a lot of feelings right now. Spider-Man 2? Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse? They’re tough to beat, but this Far From Home trailer makes it look like the movie has it all and might even manage to become the best Spidey film of them all.
