Marvel Fans Mourn The Inhumans Movie, Which Was Supposed To Release Today

Had things panned out differently, Marvel's Inhumans movie would've released into theaters on this day, July 12th, 2019.

Somewhere out there in the vast unknown, we’d like to think there’s an alternate timeline in which Marvel fans are currently flocking to theaters in preparation for the Inhumans movie, which was initially pegged to release on this day.

That’s right, July 12th, 2019 could have been very, very different if the Powers That Be stuck to the original schedule – a schedule which, as you’ll see below, also referred to Avengers: Endgame as Infinity War – Part II.

History tells us that Kevin Feige and Co. reshuffled Phase 3, resulting in some release date changes and official titles for the likes of Spider-Man and the aforementioned Infinity War – Part II. But perhaps the most notable change of the lot was reserved for the Inhumans, which ultimately released as an ABC series and, well, we all know how that one turned out

But somewhere in the Multiverse, there exists a big-screen version of the Inhumans, and it’s playing in theaters tonight!

This technically isn’t the first time that Marvel fans have mourned the death of the Inhumans movie, as just last year a number of fans raised a glass to Black Bolt and the gang, who were once pegged to hit theaters in November of 2018, before the ill-fated project slipped to the summer of 2019 – a spot that would ultimately fall to Spider-Man: Far From Home, the one true epilogue to MCU Phase 3.

As for Inhumans, it didn’t take long before Marvel fans began wondering what could have been…

Circling back to this current timeline, though, and the only MCU movie currently playing in theaters is Spider-Man: Far From Home. It’s perhaps the perfect bridge to Phase 4, the details of which are likely to be announced at San Diego Comic-Con next weekend. Don’t miss it.
