Marvel maniacs call out the worst decisions the MCU has ever made

Oh, how we hope to secure a Time Stone of our own to fix the MCU.

Fans are going to do what fans are going to do, and in this instance what fans are going to do is call out every seemingly bad decision ever made in the MCU. Sure, the MCU is not perfect, but many people felt majorly let down with Phase Four. So, now they are pinpointing the exact things they wish they could change about it if they had the opportunity.

The intense discussion has been kickstarted on Reddit with the question “What is the single worst decision in MCU history?” As expected, this has allowed MCU fans to kick upon a can of worms.

A fair few people agreed that the timing of Black Widow was just not quite right.

Of course, killing any of the villains was high on the list for many people.

It wasn’t just villains though, the death of Pietro Maximoff a.k.a Quicksilver also felt like wasted potential.

In some cases people point to poor storytelling, Eternals being the obvious example where too much was pushed into the film’s storyline. Now that we know Marvel can make some great series, many feel it would have made more sense to introduce such a large band of characters over a longer length of time rather than squishing them all into roughly two hours.

Of course, there are more complaints about the MCU’s most controversial film, Eternals, but at least there is some thought behind the argument this fan puts forward.

This person feels there was potential for the character and the story if it had “time to breathe.”

If you have ever wondered why Thor looks so different in the first movie compared to the rest, this is why.

Lots of people have felt annoyed at how characters that started off with a certain level of seriousness have been turned entirely into jokes, especially Drax.

In many cases, most accusations point at an actor or their character not being used well enough. Fans often get annoyed when a character falls short of meeting their true potential, especially when in the comics they have such a long and varied life. Within the MCU though, this isn’t always the case and we often see many villains getting killed off after only one movie.

A franchise with this many films and projects under its belt, all of which have their own tone and even genre within a genre, is going to make some mistakes. Of course, while in hindsight, we can look back and see what went wrong, in reality, all fans can hope is that Marvel Studios can either fix or learn from these mistakes moving forward.
