Marvel Finally Reveals The Eternals Release Date And Full Cast

Well, it's official now. Marvel Studios announced The Eternals at Comic-Con earlier today and also revealed when it'll hit theaters.

With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 now delayed thanks to the firing and re-hiring of James Gunn, The Eternals will no doubt be a key part of our journey further into the cosmic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And while we don’t know too much about it just yet, what we have heard is certainly enough to pique our curiosity and have us feeling cautiously optimistic that this will be one of the House of Idea’s more exciting upcoming releases.

Writers Matthew and Ryan Firpo are said to be looking to Jack Kirby’s 1976 work on the series for inspiration rather than Neil Gaiman’s version, and now, Marvel Studios have finally begun to spill on the project. Earlier tonight at Comic-Con, the studio officially announced The Eternals – they hadn’t done so before now, believe it or not – and also revealed that Chloe Zhao’s film will be arriving on November 6th, 2020.

But Kevin Feige and co. didn’t stop there, as they also revealed the main cast. A lot of these actors have been linked to the project for months now, but Marvel finally made it official by telling us that the pic will be led by Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Lia McHugh, and Don Lee.

That’s quite the impressive roster of talent, and one that will no doubt ensure that The Eternals has all eyes on it as it inches closer and closer to production. Story-wise, things are still a bit unclear, but with Marvel finally opening up on the movie, we imagine it’ll just be a matter of time now before more spills out, so be sure to stay tuned.
