Marvel Reveals The MCU’s Ridiculous Name For Peter’s Spider-Sense

Spider-Man: Far From Home will give us a new name for Spider-Man's spidey sense and apparently, it'll be called Peter Tingle from here on out.

Marvel changed the game quite a bit with Spider-Man: Far From Home and Homecoming, mostly with the casting. Peter’s friends and frenemies, namely MJ and Flash, caused some controversy with the race-bending, as it was called. But level heads prevailed, and the franchise has been a smash hit. Now, though, the studio’s decided to change it up a little more, and we’re not sure what to think.

Spidey-sense, spider-sense, arachnintuition; call it what you want, but Marvel has a new name for it. ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis recently interviewed the cast of the film, where it was revealed that Spider-Man’s heebie-jeebies will now be known as “Peter Tingle.”

Take some time to let that soak in. Go on, I’ll wait…

We can just see it now. Nobody can stop Doc Ock’s plan for world domination except Spidey. He defeats the villain and Doc asks him how he always seemed one step ahead of him? Spidey says his Peter Tingle told him and Doc Ock starts laughing uncontrollably on his way to jail.

On a more serious note though, Far From Home truly looks fantastic and we really don’t care how Spider-Man knows what he knows. If his Peter Tingle saves the world from Hydro-Man and the Molten Man, then so be it. Even though you can’t say it without laughing.

He’ll need all the help he can get to save the day, too, seeing how we still don’t know if Mysterio is going to be on his side or not. Besides, with Nick Fury now hounding the kid, he might want more than caller ID keeping him out of hot water with the S.H.I.E.L.D. director.

Will the web-slinger rise up and fill the void that Iron Man left by saving the world from Thanos’ endgame, though? We’ll all find out on July 2nd, when Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters.
