Marvel seemingly confirms the rumors of ‘The Marvels’ trailer

It's finally happening!

We recently shared the news that there’s probably going to be a trailer for the upcoming MCU Phase Five movie The Marvels. The word ‘probably’ was used because there wasn’t any confirmation, but now Marvel seems to have confirmed the news as well.

Marvel shared a short, mysterious clip of what looks like an explosion in space surrounded by a circle with some static-y voice (that sounds a lot like Teyonah Parris) saying “Hello?” and “What the” and another (who sounds a lot like Samuel L. Jackson’s character Nick Fury) saying, “Where’s Captain Rambeau?” The clip then says “Trailer tomorrow.” Unless Marvel is doing an April Fool’s Day joke ten days after the fact, I’d say there’s going to be a The Marvels trailer tomorrow.

The movie is of course a sequel to the 2019 epic Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson, and it features Iman Vellani from Ms. Marvel and Teyonah Parris (Captain Marvel, Wandavision) as Monica Rambeau. While we don’t have much in the plot department of the movie, the trailer would seem to suggest that Rambeau is missing.

Monica Rambeau is the daughter of Maria Rambeau, a fighter pilot who was friends with pilot Carol Danvers AKA Captain Marvel. The movie will go deeper into Monica’s past and obviously tie her in with the present. The movie was originally supposed to come out in the summer of this year but it got moved in the release schedule.

Now The Marvels will fly into theaters on November 10.
