Marvel Studios Celebrates Its Tenth Anniversary With 33 Gorgeous Posters

Marvel Studios is celebrating its tenth anniversary in style, including the release of 33 gorgeous new posters featuring various characters.

“There was an idea, Stark knows this, called the Avengers Initiative. The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable people, see if they could become something more. See if they could work together when we needed them to fight the battles we never could.”

For anyone with even a passing interest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Nick Fury’s inspirational words from The Avengers are enough to send chills down the spine. And even after Joe and Anthony Russo’s Infinity War, it still rings true, particularly as it’s now left to the original team to reverse the Mad Titan’s devastating actions and bring their friends back in next May’s sequel.

Yes, it’s fair to say that Stark and co. have been pushed to the limit ever since Jon Favreau’s Iron Man movie first took flight in 2008, and in the intervening years since, we’ve also been introduced to secret utopias (Black Panther‘s Wakanda) and spacefaring A-holes known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. But now, after 10 years of delivering hit after hit and becoming the biggest franchise ever, it’s time to celebrate the past decade of the MCU – which is exactly what Marvel’s doing with the 33 posters below.

Yes, there’s 33 gorgeous, golden one-sheets to feast your eyes on, each one with a tagline that reads “More Than A (insert something to describe the character here).” For instance, Thor’s reads More Than A God, while Star-Lord’s says More Than A Legendary Outlaw. It’s not only the main players who get the spotlight, either, as there are also posters for folks like Wong, Heimdall and more.

Put together, they act as a wonderful way to celebrate all the colorful, vibrant and entertaining characters that populate the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Each one brings something different and unique to the table and while a lot of them are no longer with us thanks to a particular Mad Titan, it’s fair to say that a good chunk of these heroes will find themselves somehow brought back to the land of the living for Avengers 4.
